Josh Jacobs in the back of a police car during his May arrest in Wisconsin, police bodycam still

Packers Star Josh Jacobs Faces Abuse Allegations From Three More Women as Police Release the Bodycam Video of His Arrest

Wisconsin police released the bodycam video of Packers running back Josh Jacobs’ May arrest on Friday, and the records that came with it say three more women told investigators he abused them in 2021 and 2022.

The footage is the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department’s bodycam and dashcam video of the May 26 arrest, nearly 44 minutes of it. Jacobs was arrested three days after police answered a disturbance call at his Hobart home, where his then-girlfriend told officers he threw her to the ground.

He was charged with domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim. In September he pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of battery and one of criminal damage to property, and the NFL kept him on the commissioner’s exempt list for the first six weeks of the season. He has played in the Packers’ last two games.

The newly released records say three other women contacted investigators while the May case was being built. One says that in January 2022 Jacobs slapped her, threw her onto a bed and then the floor, grabbed her throat and spat on her. She claims he told her, “I should kill you right now.” A second says he slammed her into a wall in April 2021. She reported it at the time, no charges followed, and officers noted no marks consistent with a fight. A third says he dragged her and scratched her chest in May 2022, and warned her she could be deported if she went to police. None of the three accounts has led to charges.

“I can’t get into a lot of things, like specifics of things, but obviously I’m remorseful and sorry for putting this team in this situation.”

Jacobs said that earlier this month. The NFL says its investigation is still open, according to the Associated Press, which means more discipline is still on the table even with the plea behind him.
