Marcel Johnson filmed the whole fight. The diagnosis, the chemo appointments, the bad scans, the good days with his boys, all of it, for 15 months. On Monday, November 2, the fight ended. Johnson, a Michigan father of five who documented his battle with stage 4 stomach cancer on TikTok as @celnoshell, died at home at 4:45 p.m. He was 32.
His wife, Taylor Johnson, announced his death in an Instagram post. “I lost a whole entire half of me,” she wrote. “He fought so hard for so long. He was so tired and exhausted and in so much pain.” She said the only words he spoke that day were to her and his brother: “I’m ready to go.”
Johnson went to urgent care with stomach pain in August 2025. Within five days, after a CT scan, an MRI and a biopsy, doctors told him he had stage 4 adenocarcinoma. He and Taylor ran Lil Daddy’s Cheesecakes, a family bakery in Mount Clemens, Michigan, while raising their five sons, and he started posting his treatment journey for the hundreds of thousands of people who ended up following it.
He did not clean any of it up. When the tumors grew, he said so. In August he told followers he had lost his health insurance in the middle of treatment. In one video that traveled everywhere, he sat his young son down and explained that the chemotherapy and immunotherapy were not working anymore. In October, after the treatments stopped working, he posted a photo from bed captioned “I’m dying.”
A GoFundMe set up during his fight has been updated since his death. The money now goes to Taylor and their five sons.
Johnson is survived by his wife, Taylor, and their five boys.
