Rockstar Moved GTA 6’s Preload Up to November 10, and the Game Needs Up to 212GB of Free Space

Start deleting games now. Rockstar put out the GTA 6 launch plan on Tuesday and the number that matters is 212: the preload needs up to 212GB of free space, depending on your console, and digital preorders can start downloading on November 10, two days earlier than planned.

The times split by console. PlayStation 5 preloads open at midnight local time on November 10. Xbox Series X and S preloads open worldwide at 12 AM GMT the same day, which is 7 PM ET on November 9 for North America.

The boxed version is a code in a box, no disc, and those hit retailers starting November 12. Codes can be redeemed ahead of launch for preloading, but the game stays locked until November 19 either way.

On November 19 we will be adding an official printable Grand Theft Auto VI cover art poster and map of Leonida as a free digital download to the official site.

Rockstar is also bringing back the map. On launch day the official site gets a free printable download of the cover art poster and the map of Leonida, the state Vice City sits in.

A double sided printed version of the poster goes up on the Rockstar Store shortly after launch for $0.99, or free with any other store purchase. Nine days to download 212GB is generous. Needing 212GB in the first place is the story.
