2 Chainz used his seat on Kirk Franklin’s “Den of Kings” to finally ask Keith Lee about the bad review of his Atlanta restaurant, Esco, and the conversation turned into a full argument about whether famous people deserve better treatment than everybody else.
Lee’s whole thing is reviewing restaurants the way a regular customer experiences them. He sends family in ahead of him so the kitchen cannot roll out the red carpet once they spot his face, and he told the table his mother-in-law could not get served at 10 different Atlanta restaurants while a table for him was ready the second he walked in.
“I’m an entertainer, and obviously we get perks that other people don’t get. I don’t stand in line at the airport. I don’t do none of that because I done worked my ass off to do this.”

Chainz also questioned whether Lee’s years as a professional fighter, and the strict eating that came with it, shape his taste more than he admits. Lee never raised his voice. His point stayed the same from start to finish: the moment a review reflects the celebrity experience instead of the customer’s, it stops being useful to the people spending their own money off his word.
This fight has history. Lee’s 2023 Atlanta food tour made national news for the exact same pattern, family members struggling to get service until staff realized who he was. The clips from this episode have been circulating all weekend, and the reaction has run mostly one way, with viewers siding with Lee and some of Chainz’s own fans calling his stance a bad look.
