A 46-year-old Maryland woman was met by law enforcement after allegedly pleasuring herself on an American Airlines flight from Baltimore to Miami.
About 20 minutes after takeoff on September 11, a fellow passenger told a flight attendant the woman in seat 9D had removed her pants and was touching herself while making loud, inappropriate sounds.
The flight attendant confronted her. She put her pants back on without argument and fell asleep for the rest of the flight.
When the plane landed in Miami, deputies said she smelled strongly of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. She told officers her flight had been delayed two hours in Baltimore, that she had several drinks before boarding, and that she did not remember what happened because she fell asleep.
Because the alleged incident happened mid-flight, the case was referred to the FBI. No charges have been filed.
