Draymond Green Got Ejected for Throwing a Suns Player to the Floor and Grabbing Dillon Brooks by the Neck

Draymond Green got ejected from the Warriors’ game against the Suns on Monday night, two minutes into the second half, after a sequence that managed to involve three different Suns players.

It started in the paint. Suns center Khaman Maluach knocked Green to the floor while fighting for position, and Green got up, grabbed Maluach, and threw him to the court. That was technical foul number one.

Dillon Brooks came straight in to confront Green, because of course he did. The two longtime rivals grabbed at each other, Green got a hand up around Brooks’ neck, and the officials handed Green a second technical. Brooks picked up one of his own. Two technicals means an automatic ejection, Green’s first of the season and the 23rd of his career.

Green finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Golden State still came back from 17 down to win 116 to 113, its fifth straight. The league is reviewing the sequence, and a fine or a suspension is possible on top of the ejection. With these two, December 28 in Phoenix should be fun.
