An ICE Agent Stabbed a Couple’s Tire After They Filmed Him in Oregon, and the ACLU Has the Video

The ACLU and the ACLU of Oregon released the footage on Thursday and filed an administrative complaint with the Department of Homeland Security over what happened in Hillsboro, Oregon, on October 7.

According to the complaint, the married couple, identified as A.P. and M.P., were filming ICE agents in a Safeway parking lot when agents started following them. Three ICE vehicles boxed their car in at a traffic light.

A masked agent in a POLICE ICE vest got out, walked up and stabbed their rear tire with a knife. When the car rolled forward and stopped again, he got out and stabbed it a second time. Then all three vehicles turned off their lights and sirens and drove off without saying a word to the couple or arresting anybody.

The ACLU says the couple was targeted for recording ICE in public, which is protected by the First Amendment, and wants the agents identified, investigated and disciplined. “What happened to us is not unique, and that is what is so terrifying,” the couple said in the release. ICE did not respond to KGW’s request for comment.
