Don Roberts III is out of jail, and his first move was getting on camera to thank 50 Cent for believing him.
Roberts, 20, was released from the Volusia County jail on Wednesday. In the video 50 Cent posted to his own Instagram, Roberts sits in a chair, looks straight at the camera and says he did nothing wrong.
“I’m out and I’m innocent. The Lord know I’m innocent. 50, I appreciate you for everything you’re doing for me and believing in my innocence. Much love.”

50 put his own line under the clip, having already offered to bond Roberts out and send him a top lawyer. That beef is personal: 50 and Rick Ross have been going at it since 2009, and Roberts is accused of attacking Ross’ son.
“I had a strong feeling this brother was innocent, who snitching.”

Police say the October 11 incident went down near Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach. William Roberts III, 21, Ross’ son with Tia Kemp, told officers a man got out of a car, pointed a tan handgun at him, said he did not care who his daddy is, and hit him in the head with the gun before driving off. Don Roberts III, no relation despite the name, turned himself in on October 16 and pleaded not guilty on October 19 to aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The case is still open, and no court has ruled on his innocence claim.
Tia Kemp already fired back once, loud enough that 50’s lawyers sent her a cease-and-desist letter, which she posted and kept talking through. Ross himself has not publicly responded to the release video.
