Vegas Showgirl Accused of Beating Tourist With High-Heeled Boot in Fight Over $20 Photo Tip

Two women dressed as showgirls on the Las Vegas Strip were arrested after a fight with tourists over photo tips, and the arrest report that just came out has the kind of details you have to read twice.

Jennifer Ortiz and Magdellena Romero were picked up after the September 30 brawl outside Planet Hollywood. According to the report, two tourists from North Carolina paid $20 for photos with the costumed women, then started walking away. Ortiz allegedly followed them and demanded $60 to $180 for the pictures. When they would not pay, police say she struck one of the women more than 22 times, then took off her white high-heeled boot and hit her in the forehead, leaving a cut nearly two inches long.

It gets worse. The report says Romero tackled the second tourist, pulled her hair and punched her in the face with a closed fist. And in a separate allegation from the same spot, a man told police he agreed to pay $60 for photos by tapping his debit card on Ortiz’s phone, and got charged $218.

A third woman with the group reportedly tried to break the fight up and is not facing charges, after one of the tourists told officers she did not want charges against her. Ortiz and Romero are due back in court December 3. Both are accused, not convicted, and the charges remain unproven.
