Drake Releases “FOMO,” A Surreal “Not-So-Short Film”

Drake has released “FOMO,” an hour-long visual project he describes as a “not-so-short film” and a piece of “self-funded surrealism.” Rather than following one storyline, the film moves through a series of music videos, comedy bits and surreal scenes built around his recent music.

The project features songs from “Maid of Honour” and “Habibti,” previews unreleased music and includes appearances from Sexyy Red, Winnie Harlow, Don Toliver and others. One scene also brings back Pinkchyu, the goth woman from Drake’s 20v1 dating stream, for a sequence set to “Princess” off his “Maid of Honour” album.

Drake gets into the theme himself by dressing in a full goth look during the scene, turning one of the more memorable moments from his streaming run into part of the larger “FOMO” project.
