Diddy just lost six weeks. Federal prison records now list his release date as March 2, 2028, pushed back from January 21. The timing is hard to miss. It comes days after that NBC News report about his VIP lifestyle at Fort Dix.
In case you missed it: NBC reported Diddy had a jailbroken tablet for watching movies, a contraband cellphone he used to scroll Instagram and look at explicit photos, paid massages, inmates cooking his meals, and cognac. He landed in solitary confinement over it, and PEOPLE confirmed this week he is still there.
The Bureau of Prisons would not say why the date changed. They told PEOPLE they do not comment on conditions of confinement or the reasons behind release date changes.
This date has been all over the place. It sat around May 2028 at sentencing, got moved up to January, and now it is back to March. He is serving 50 months after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The jury acquitted him on the bigger racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
