Gervonta Davis called Claressa Shields a hot mess for the lace-up jumpsuit she wore to her own listening party. So she put him in it.
On Thursday, Shields posted an AI-generated photo of Davis posing in front of a Showtime PPV backdrop in her exact outfit: the black one-piece jumpsuit and the red thigh-high boots. One change, though. The lace-up cutouts she wore down her back, she moved his to the front.
The whole feud started Monday in Atlanta, where Shields hosted her “Gloves Off, Mic On” listening party for her single “Party” and her upcoming album, What Did You Expect. Davis reposted footage of her posing for photographers the next day and wrote that she looked like a “hot a** mess.”
Shields answered in the caption of the photo, accusing Davis of cutting part of a text exchange out of what he posted, and making it plain where her man stands in all of it:
“Pap don’t have no bro code to you! You sissy! That’s my man & WE DON’T F***K WITH YOU!”
Claressa Shields, on X
Papoose had already entered the chat days earlier, after Davis told him “I would put you to sleep” for defending her. Papoose fired back at Davis over the allegations of violence against women that Davis has faced and disputed, and he has not let up since.
Two undefeated champions, one jumpsuit, and a rapper in the middle of it. The outfit started all of this, and Shields just made sure Davis has to look at it every time this photo makes the rounds.
