Police have not named the shooter and have not said what set him off. Investigators believe the children may have been his own, per NBC, but LAPD has not confirmed the relationship.

A Metro bus was rolling through at the time, and its cameras may have caught the shooting. LAPD says there is no ongoing threat to the community.

A taped-off boulevard and a midday crowd watching it all unfold. Two kids are gone, and the man who may have been their father shot himself.
