There is a competition in Romania where women take turns slapping each other on the backside until somebody quits. It is called Booty Slap, and it runs as a side event at RXF Slap, the slap-fighting arm of Romania’s RXF MMA promotion.
The rules are simple. Two competitors step onto a small stage in front of a crowd, a referee, and security, and trade open-hand slaps to the backside, back and forth. No face shots, no knockouts. Just escalating smacks until one of them waves it off. A 13-minute compilation of the matches has pulled more than 8.7 million views as the clips tear through timelines again this month.
The event goes back to about 2021, when it started as a sideshow to RXF’s regular face-slapping contests between heavyweight men. The most famous bout featured competitors Roxana Aiftimiei and Iuhas Alexandra Daniela, with Romanian MMA fighter Alexandru Lungu on reffing duty. RXF held its fourth slap event, RXF Slap 4, in Bucharest on August 22.
