Ray J was deep into his “Rayhab” 180-day streaming marathon in Los Angeles on Thursday when a heart-related medical emergency stopped the stream cold. Paramedics worked on him on camera, attaching monitoring equipment to his bare chest while he lay on the studio couch, as his mother Sonja Norwood hovered nearby asking if she could ride in the ambulance with him.
The fire department and an ambulance were called to Fab Factory. He was loaded onto a gurney and into an LAFD ambulance. Sources told TMZ the call was “strictly medical” and there was nothing unusual or suspicious going on. As of Friday morning, no diagnosis or update on his condition has been made public.
The eerie part is what he said four days earlier. On September 27, Ray J told his stream his liver and heart were “still f**ked up,” admitted he had never gotten checked, and said, “The ambulance is gonna come, and hopefully we make it through.” Then the ambulance came, live on camera. His sister Brandy replied in the comments telling him to take his health seriously.
This is the latest in a rough year for his health. In May he was knocked out in a Las Vegas MMA fight against Supa Hot Fire, after which his heart rate reportedly slowed. Earlier this year he claimed doctors had given him only months to live, saying, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”
