Mike Tyson said the quiet part out loud. On SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” Thursday, the former champ admitted he spoke to Diddy on the phone from prison and agreed to one favor. Diddy wanted him to give a letter to the president. Tyson did it. “I did what he told me to do.”
The backstory has been sitting out there since January, when reports said the letter was Diddy asking Trump for a pardon. Trump later said he got the letter and would not grant it. Diddy is serving 50 months at Fort Dix in New Jersey, and his release date just got pushed to March 2028.
Then Friday, Tyson pulled up at the White House, walked out with Trump, and hopped on Air Force One to the Syracuse rally for Bruce Blakeman, who is running for New York governor. Trump brought him on stage and joked that Tyson was Blakeman’s personal security. “I’m just happy to be here with my president, President Trump,” Tyson told the crowd.
“Listen, if you didn’t know who Donald Trump was and you didn’t know his name, you would think he’s black.”
Mike Tyson, “Piers Morgan Uncensored”
That one came from his new “Piers Morgan Uncensored” sit-down, where Tyson also said he voted for Trump and ran the streets for him. Two days, two interviews, one very loyal friendship. Diddy called in a favor from a prison cell. Trump got a boxing legend on stage in Syracuse. Everybody got what they wanted except maybe Diddy.
