Maino’s Halloween costume this year is Rick Ross, and he did not stop at the outfit. The Brooklyn rapper recreated the press conference Ross gave outside a Miami jail earlier this month, the one that turned into a viral moment all by itself.
The costume is committed: fake beard, Ross’s face tattoos drawn on, oversized sunglasses, a loud floral shirt and a gold chain. He captioned the video “HEAVY MARINARA!!!…Halloween Edition,” a nod to the pasta line that made the original speech travel.

Ross gave the original speech in early October, right after his release in Miami, telling reporters he was innocent and laying out travel plans that ended with rigatoni and heavy marinara. The clip has been remixed ever since, and Maino’s version is the one that landed for Halloween.
The costume doubles as work clothes: it is headed for a Halloween episode of “Let’s Rap About It,” the podcast Maino co-hosts with Jim Jones, Fabolous and Dave East.
