Hotboii with his signature dreads before cutting them off after his prison release

Hotboii Is Out of Prison and Cut Off All His Dreads to Mark the Moment

Hotboii is a free man again, and he announced it the loudest way he knows how. The Orlando rapper walked out of prison this weekend and cut off the dreads that made him recognizable, posting a photo of them on the floor.

“lol who want em ??? #FreshOut”

The 26-year-old had been locked up since May, serving a six-month sentence for violating his probation. He did not waste time letting the world know he was home. The next post showed the fresh cut, him holding stacks of cash, with a one-word caption.

“MATURITY.”

That is the whole statement. No long paragraph, no interview. Just the haircut and the word.

This is not his first bid. Hotboii, born Javarri Walker, was one of 34 people swept up in a 2021 RICO case in Orlando. He spent two years inside before the RICO charge was dropped and he pleaded to a conspiracy count. He got out in September 2024, then landed back in Orange County Jail this May.

He still managed to drop an album in June, “Kut Da Fan On 2,” with Lil Baby, YNW Melly and YTB Fatt on it. Now he is home with a new look and, apparently, a new mindset.

The dreads are gone. We will see if the old Hotboii went with them.
