G Herbo Says He’s Retiring From Rap, Calls The Industry “Full of Weirdos and Snitches”

G Herbo says he’s hanging up the mic. The Chicago rapper went on Instagram Live today and told fans he’s stepping away from rap, saying the industry is “full of weirdos and snitches” and he’s done being a part of it.

He kept it all family. Herbo said he wants to pour his energy into his kids and his soon-to-be wife Taina Williams, thanking the people who rode with him the whole way. “I love y’all, man. I love everybody who has been a part of this journey and helped me become not only the artist, but also the man I am. I appreciate y’all,” he said. “Y’all made me a billionaire […] Help me take care of my family.”

He also said fans haven’t seen the last of him, with acting or a podcast on the table. And the internet is already doing what it does: some fans are calling it a Jordan-style hiatus, betting he’ll be back in four or five years. Herbo himself left the door cracked, saying he might come back one day. For now, he says he’s done.
