Future’s older brother is headed to federal prison. FBG Casino, real name Rico Deville Buice, pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to possess fentanyl with intent to distribute. The charge carries a mandatory minimum of 10 years behind bars, and up to life.
The case started last November, when FBI and DEA agents raided an Airbnb in Forest Park, Georgia, that prosecutors say Casino was using as a stash house. Casino tried to slip out a side door but didn’t make it far. Inside, agents found 17 kilos of suspected fentanyl, at least one brick stamped with a Louis Vuitton logo, a Glock with an extended magazine, a money counter, and smashed-up cell phones.
Then there was the money. About $300,000 in a cardboard box. Another $80,000 in a Goyard bag that prosecutors say matches one Casino posed with in his own Instagram photos. Plus $4,000 in his pocket. As part of the plea, he agreed to hand over $388,930 in cash, the gun, and the ammo.
Casino asked the judge to let him stay free until his January 7 sentencing. The judge said no and sent him back into custody. The 41-year-old Freebandz rapper had told authorities he earned $2,166 a month as a studio manager, while living in a $4 million house and driving a Mercedes and a BMW.
