Sean “Diddy” Combs, the Bad Boy Records founder serving a 50 month federal sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, was reportedly taken out of the prison by ambulance early Saturday morning to get treatment for a head injury.
Prison sources told TMZ the ambulance left Fort Dix around 1 a.m. on Saturday, October 10. The injury was described as not life threatening, and Combs was conscious and speaking when he came back. He was back at the prison later that same day. A source with knowledge of the situation also confirmed to PEOPLE that he was taken to a hospital.
What nobody will say is how he got hurt. Fort Dix declined to comment, citing privacy, safety and security reasons. Combs’ team has not confirmed how it happened either.
“Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
Combs spokesperson Juda Engelmayer, in a statement Monday
Engelmayer said the team is aware of the reports and is working to confirm the circumstances. That is all they have put out so far.

The hospital run is the latest strange chapter in a prison stay that keeps making news. Last month, NBC News reported Combs was living large inside, with inmates cooking and cleaning for him and a contraband phone and tablet in reach. He was later reported to be in solitary, and his release date has been pushed back to March 2028.
For now, the official story is short: a head injury, a hospital trip in the middle of the night, and a return to his cell the same day, with no explanation from anybody.
