Boosie Performed “Set It Off” Outside the White House While He’s Still Chasing a Trump Pardon

Boosie Badazz took his show to the most famous address in America. The Baton Rouge rapper posted up on the brick plaza outside the White House on Friday and performed his 2006 anthem “Set It Off” for the tourists and locals passing through.

Clips of the impromptu set spread fast online, with the White House visible behind him as he danced and rapped through the track. One widely shared version of the clip joked that Boosie was the first artist to perform on the White House lawn, a claim he echoed himself on social media.

He was in DC the night before for the Cash Money and No Limit tour stop at Capital One Arena. That lineup featured Birdman, Master P, Juvenile and Mannie Fresh, with Boosie as the special guest.

The White House visit was not random. Boosie has been openly chasing a presidential pardon, and in 2025 he paid $600,000 to political operatives Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, who he said promised to help him get clemency from Trump. No pardon came, and he has since gone after them for a refund, a fight he talked about on “60 Minutes.”

If the pardon ever comes through, at least the audition tape is already done.
