Eight months after someone put a bullet in 49ers defensive end Keion White’s ankle at his own Super Bowl party, police say they caught the guy. Gregory Walker, 35, was arrested in Hollywood early Friday morning.
The shooting went down February 8 at Dahlia’s Lounge in San Francisco’s Mission District, just hours after Super Bowl LX. White was hosting a private party when he got into an argument with Lil Baby, who had been denied entry to the event along with his entourage.
A witness told police he went upstairs to grab a manager to cool things off. While he was gone, he heard two gunshots. When he came back down, White was on the floor shot in the leg. When cops walked in, topless dancers were still sweeping dollar bills off the floor. Investigators recovered 9mm and .45 shell casings at the scene.
“As I entered, I saw numerous scantily clad females picking up dollar bills that were strewn all over the floor.”
The responding officer’s report

Walker was tracked down by the LAPD’s Gang and Narcotics Division around 5:30 in the morning and booked on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon involving a semiautomatic rifle, according to the California Post, which cited LAPD officials and jail records. He is being held without bail. The charges are accusations and nothing has been proven in court. Lil Baby has not been named a suspect or charged with anything.
White needed surgery but made a full recovery and never missed a beat. He has played in all four of San Francisco’s games this season with two sacks and six tackles. Police said at the time that White would not tell them who shot him.
Eight months of silence, and it took a 5:30 AM knock in Hollywood to move the case.
