ComplexCon’s 10th anniversary started with chaos Saturday night. An altercation broke out involving Chicago rapper Lucki’s entourage and people associated with Playboi Carti, and afterward Lucki was seen bloodied around his face and neck as security rushed him to a waiting car.
An AllHipHop correspondent witnessed the alleged attack. Online, some accounts claimed Lucki was stabbed or slashed, but the precise nature of his injury has not been established. No police, hospital, or festival official has confirmed details.
What has not been established is Carti himself having anything to do with it. The fight involved people associated with him, and some footage appears to show Carti in the vicinity while groups clashed. Nobody has said he participated or directed anything.
Hours later, RapTV shared screenshots of what it says is a DM exchange in which Lucki replied “I’m good” after a friend checked in. That is the closest thing to an update from Lucki himself so far.
The tension is not new. In 2024, Carti took a Lucki social media post as a shot at him after “All Red” dropped. Lucki said it was not about him, and it cooled off. Lucki has also feuded publicly with Destroy Lonely, who is signed to Carti’s Opium label.
Carti is all over this year’s ComplexCon. He is co-artistic director alongside Hiroshi Fujiwara, and he headlines tonight’s Crypto.com Arena concert with an Opium-heavy lineup.
