New details are out this morning about the parking lot attack on Lucki at ComplexCon, and the case just got a lot more serious. TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, reports the LAPD is now investigating the incident as an attempted murder.
According to TMZ, Lucki was in the ComplexCon parking lot around 4:40 Saturday afternoon surrounded by fans taking photos when an unknown suspect struck him in the side of the face, leaving a laceration. A second victim was stabbed in the chaos that followed, and police then located two more injured victims. Four victims total: three in stable condition, one who got themselves to a hospital.
No suspects have been identified and nobody has been arrested. Police are staying quiet while they sort out what actually happened.
Lucki still has not said much himself. Hours after the fight he told a friend in DMs he was good, and around 4 this morning he reposted on his Instagram story. Still no word from Playboi Carti, ComplexCon, or the police officially. Footage put Carti near the scene watching from his car, but nobody has established that he took part in or directed anything.
Carti headlines the ComplexCon Sunday concert tonight at Crypto.com Arena. All eyes are on whether he says anything about yesterday.
