A Missile Hit Riyadh’s Airport and Killed 12 People, Including an American. Trump Says the US Might Jump In.

A ballistic missile tore into the domestic terminal at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on Saturday afternoon, killing 12 people and wounding more than 300. One of the dead was an American citizen.

The missile hit a complex housing terminals 3 and 4. The airport was evacuated as black smoke rolled over the tarmac and sirens wailed inside the building. A witness at gate 403 told reporters he watched the blast land and people running everywhere.

The dead include four Saudi nationals plus travelers from Bangladesh, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Sudan and a Palestinian, according to Saudi aviation authorities. Flights were canceled and diverted across the region, and several countries warned their citizens to avoid Riyadh.

“We may. We’re going to look at it. We just found out about the recent attack. So we’ll make a decision. We move very quickly.”

Donald Trump, asked if the United States would join Saudi strikes on the Houthis

This was the third attack on the airport in a single week. Thursday’s strike killed three people, including a Saudia Airlines pilot, and destroyed a passenger jet sitting on the ground. A projectile also fell near the airport at Dammam on Saturday. Secretary of State Marco Rubio condemned the attack and said the United States stands with Saudi Arabia.

The airport attacks keep getting closer to home. This week it was a pilot. Now it is a packed terminal, and an American is dead. We will see what Washington does next.
