Travis Hunter caught a touchdown and intercepted a pass in the same quarter at Wembley on Sunday, the first NFL player to do both in one game in 24 years. Jacksonville still lost to Houston 34-31 on a field goal as time expired.
The Jacksonville Jaguars receiver and cornerback scored first. With 11:26 left in the fourth quarter, Hunter caught a 7-yard touchdown from Trevor Lawrence to cut the Texans lead to 31-28. He finished with four catches for 59 yards after catching just two passes all season before Sunday.

Minutes later he flipped to defense and ended a Houston drive, picking off C.J. Stroud in the end zone with 3:53 left. It was his second interception of the season, and it set up a game-tying 60-yard field goal before Houston drove back for the winner.
“I’ve been doing this since I was a baby, doing those type of things.”
Travis Hunter, after the game
Only two players in the Super Bowl era had done it before him: Roy Green in 1981 and Brian Dawkins in 2002, and Dawkins caught his touchdown on a fake punt. The game also reopens the debate in Jacksonville, where Hunter has played mostly defense this season while fans keep asking why the Heisman Trophy winner is not getting the ball.

Hunter said afterward the only thing he wanted was the win. Jacksonville is 4-2 heading into its bye week, and how much offense he plays next is now the loudest question around the team.
