Carol City and Grayson players in a postgame brawl on the field in Loganville Georgia

Georgia Commit Caught On Viral Tape In Carol City Grayson Postgame Brawl

A defensive slugfest between Grayson and Miami Carol City ended 10-9 on Friday night in Loganville, Georgia. It was an instant classic. Then the handshake line turned into a full blown brawl, and nobody is talking about the football anymore.

Pushing in the postgame handshake line blew up fast. Multiple fights broke out at the same time, bodies hit the turf, and coaches scrambled to pull kids apart. One Grayson player ended up on the ground with Carol City players surrounding him, throwing punches until a Chiefs coach finally got him out of there.

The clip exploded today after 247Sports reporter Benjamin Wolk posted it. The part everyone is hung up on: the footage appears to show Georgia linebacker commit Temorris Campbell Jr. jumping into multiple confrontations, and at one point he appears to make a stomping motion toward a Grayson player who was already on the ground.

Nothing has been announced on discipline yet, but two state associations can review the tape. Grayson plays in Georgia and Carol City in Florida, so two different bodies will be watching the same clips. Carol City already forfeited a win this season over an ineligible player and sits on administrative probation, so this review is not going to be friendly.

The wildest part is how close the game was. Carol City missed an extra point, missed two field goals, got a potential game winner blocked, then lost on a final desperation pass. One point short. Then everything fell apart after the whistle.
