Ruja Ignatova, known as the so-called “CryptoQueen,” is still missing seven years after she vanished. The FBI just raised the reward to up to $5 million for any information that helps lead to her arrest or conviction. Investigators say she helped run OneCoin, a massive fake crypto project that pulled in over $4 billion worldwide. She was hit with federal charges in New York in 2017 for wire fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering. Right after that, she took a flight from Bulgaria to Greece and disappeared.
Nobody has confirmed seeing her since. The FBI added her to its “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list in 2022. Her partners have been arrested or convicted in different countries, but she’s the one nobody can find. The reward is open to anyone with real information, wherever they are. At this point, the mystery of where she went has turned into one of the biggest disappearing acts in the crypto era.
