Following the release of her single “Imaginary Playerz,” Cardi B decided to do her own spin on Jay-Z’s Imaginary Players from his classic In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 album. And she’s actually rapping on here. Of course some disagree because the reviews have been mixed but nevertheless Cardi says Jay was a fan when he heard it and cleared it. Though Cardi’s song only debuted at No. 147 on the Spotify U.S. chart, and No. 56 on Apple Music, it managed to get Jay-Z’s original to chart for the first time since its release over 20 years ago.
