Cam’ron Sues J. Cole Over Song Claims Broken Promise And Unpaid Royalties

Cam’ron is suing J. Cole, claiming he was promised collaboration credit and royalties for their track “Ready ’24.”
According to TMZ, Cam says he wrote parts of the song in 2022 after Cole agreed to feature on his own project or appear on his It Is What It Is podcast.He alleges Cole never followed through, even after the track was released under Dreamville.Cam’s legal team is demanding to be listed as a co-author and compensated for profits from the record.

The filing claims Cole’s team used Cam’s creative input and branding to promote the track.Complex reports that Cam says the deal was verbal but witnessed by people close to both artists.The song also appeared to sample Cam’s voice from earlier projects without official clearance.He’s seeking more than $500,000 in damages plus a share of publishing rights.Neither J. Cole nor Dreamville have responded publicly to the suit.
